Our Foodstore

Coronavirus update - 31.12.20

The Foodstore remains open for business as usual.

Please be assured that we take your safety and that of our staff very seriously. We have a 5 star hygiene rating and we are taking a number of extra precautionary steps to control the spread of Coronavirus. These include additional routine interim cleaning, multiple hand sanitiser stations, limiting customers to 3 at a time in the fish market, etc. The fish counter, food hall and deli are well stocked with a wide array of fresh, frozen and chilled products. The deli counters are packed with our chefs’ homemade pies, fishcakes, soup, quiche, salads, plus much more besides. A warm welcome awaits you and your family. In the meantime we will continue to closely monitor the situation and update our practices in line with the latest advice from Public Health England.

In October 2017 we relocated our foodstore to The Barn at Severn & Wye which is adjacent to the old premises. The foodstore gives us the opportunity to showcase not only our own products but some of our local producers as well.

As you enter our foodstore, one of the first things you’ll notice will be our colourful fresh fish counter, displayed on ice, drawing you into our delicious chef’s larder and stylish café. As you’d expect from one of the UK’s top fishmongers, the fresh fish counter has a magnificent array of fresh fish and fresh shellfish serviced by our former Head Chef Norbert. Norbert has become an excellent fishmonger and is always delighted to share his vast wealth of cheffing knowledge and expertise to inspire and encourage our customers with helpful advice on all things culinary.

As well as our own smoked salmon, smoked fish, fresh fish and seafood we are particularly proud of our extensive range of delectable local foods, sourced from Gloucestershire and the South West.

Our foodstore is well worth a visit, it’s guaranteed not to disappoint.
